Overall:
Value: The price, the show, the food, the drinks and deserts! ALL were phenomenal and worth it!
Taste: Every singe thing I stuffed my face with was delicious. Couldn’t ask for anything to be better. I am definitely in love with this place.
Presentation: Plates, drinks and deserts were presented perfectly. NOT ONLY the food but also the servers were presented well.
Vibe: This vibe has been my favorite by far. Every one is smiling and having a great time! A super fun place to be at.
Accessibility: Viva Mexico is located in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. It may be out of reach for some but as long as you have a passport, you’ll be solid. It also isn’t far from one of El Paso’s main border crossing. I would say maybe about 2 minutes if I’m not mistaken.
August 4th. Viva Mexico. Great food and company. What else could I ask for? That day is a regular day to most but it is actually the best day of my life. That day is my little girl’s birthday so I wanted to take her to one of her favorite restaurants. Viva Mexico is one cool place to go have dinner with family for a night out, a birthday or really just any occasion. Their food is great, their desserts are great, and their show is amazing! (Click on the links to know what each are.) They have folklorico dancers, mariachis, charros, matachin dancers and a Juan Gabriel show. Juan Gabriel was a famous Mexican singer and was originally from Juarez and so therefore they have an imitation show of when he would perform. I love these shows!
Let’s talk now about their food and their service. Wait staff was great. They are very respectful, courteous, and fast with attending us. We had a party of 8 and they got us our food within 15 minutes of ordering our drinks. This place is HUGE! So for them to bring out the food within 15 min, to a party of 8 when each other table had parties of 4 and above, that is impressive. KUDOS to them.
While I waited for dinner, I had a drink (which technically was two) that was called “EL CHON y LA CHONA.” Cucumber vodka with cucumber water inside these cute little clay mugs for you to take as souvenirs and rimmed with salt on one and Tajin on the other (my fave). For dinner I had a sirloin steak, medium rare, with roasted veggies (bell peppers and onions) and 4 small baked potatoes with a creamy cheese on top of them. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The steak was tender and juicy and super well seasoned. The potatoes paired perfectly with the cheese and the veggies were roasted so nice I could not get enough of them! All for $325…PESOS! Which is $18 USD! I had a pineapple dessert cake which was possibly the best mini cake I have had. The pineapple chunks were not hidden but not overbearing. The sweetness of the frosting went well with the freshness of the pineapple. I also took a couple of bites of my little girl’s complimentary chocolate cake and my goodness was it great. It literally melted in my mouth. SO, for a total of 8 people, 8 entrees, 8 drinks, 6 alcoholic drinks, 3 deserts and GREAT shows, we only spent $175 USD. Comparing it to BJ’s where I’ve spent $120 on 4 people, this was a great deal!
Visit them and soon! Just a quick reminder, for if and when you do, make sure to check out their website and make reservations on days they have shows (I believe it’s Wednesday through Sunday).
Well this was fun! Ciao for now!!
